I have not kept an eye on my blog lately and therefore I haven't blogged all my DT creations here for a while. So this post will be a sort of catching up post and will be a bit (understatement of the year?) longer than usual. On the bright side my mojo is sort of back after hiding out for a long time so I hope to post a bunch of "just for fun" projects too as soon as I remember to photograph them. I'm also in the mood to make a video, so if you have any requests on what kind of video you want to see, let me know.
So here we go with the projects.
First off the inspiration for this months challenge at Spectrum Noir. The theme of the month is pastels and you can join the challenge here and win lovely prizes.
Spectrum Aquas: Peach, Rose Pink, Begonia, Teal, Aquamarine, Marine
Stamps by Simon Says Stamp
This is a project I made for a tutorial for Spectrum Noir. The tutorial haven't been published yet but I'll let you know when it's up and you can see how easy it is to make this runny effect. I saw Jennifer Mcguire do it with distress inks and i did it once that way too. But now I have the MISTI and it makes it way easier, and using the Spectrum Aquas turned out great.
I also added shimmer with my Sparkle pens and then covered the jewels with glossy accents. It's very cute up close but doesn't photograph well.
Spectrum Aquas used: Navy, Aquamarine, Begonia, Rose Pink, Moss, Charcoal and Slate
Clear Spectrum Sparkle Pen
Stamps by Winnie & Walter and Kaiserkraft
I made this card inspired by an old tutorial by myself, I loved the black background on my previous card and wanted to repeat it with a bolder color. It didn't turn out quite the same, I probably didn't use enough water on the background. It's kinda cute anyways. I used Marion Embersons pretty heart stamps for my background.
Used AquaTint: 55
Based on this tutorial: http://www.spectrumnoir.com/aquatint-background/
I made this card for Design in Papers a couple of weeks ago. I used a stamp by Kaisercraft that is super pretty.
This one is my post for Design in Papers that is published today. Same stamp and then some pretty patterned paper by Dear Lizzy (Happy Place).
I _think_ that that was all of my unpublished DT-projects. I have some non-DT project too but I'll spread them out a bit and hopefully I'm in control over my blogging again soon. I'm just totally unorganised at the moment. I will be back soon I'm sure :) Until then, take care!
