I hope you are having a wonderful summer wherever you are. I’m having my first week of summer vacation and I am certainly keeping busy. I spent a weekend in Stockholm and came home to a small kitchen renovation. There isn’t that much time to scrap but since I got a wonderful july-kit I had to take the time to make something. I was going to make a card for my brother and sister in law, they’ve just moved to a new place. When the card was done it really wasn’t their style at all, the card will have to move home to someone else I think.

I got these super cute stamps from Inkadinkado and some tinsel glitter from Martha Stewart Crafts. When I saw the birds I thought of little baby birds and the Lemon Drop glitter was perfect to cover them with. First I colored the motif with Copic markers. You can see through the tinsel glitter and therefore I colored the birds with markers first, then I covered it with glue from one of the great Martha Stewart Crafts glue pens and sprinkled the glitter on top. The result was really cute! I cut out a flower border from a design paper from Marianne Design for the bottom of the card and popped it up with 3D adhesive. It turned out very summery and nice!

Now I have to run again, I’m emptying out the scrap room for a small face lift and some more work space. There is no time for lounging in the sun (well… rain mostly) right now.

If it's crafty I have probably tried it. Or plan to try it tomorrow. I love to be creative in all ways, but I tend to gravitate to making cards, coloring and diecutting. I also have a bad yarn shopping.... ehm... KNITTING... habit. I live in Sweden with my husband, two cute minions (also known as kids) and three dogs. I work from home at a small international development company during the days, and craft while listening to audio books or follow my favourite series at nights and on weekends. I love it when I don't have to leave the house, being an introvert and socially awkward and all. That's why my slippers to shoe ratio is close to 1:1 and I'm not ashamed to admit it ;)
