Door sign

My son has finally got his own room after sharing room with his little sister. He wanted a cool sign for his door and he loves the Star Wars characters right now. We found a cool picture of R2D2 and I made it into a cut file for the Cameo (used the trace function, it’s easiest if the picture is black and white), I also downloaded some free fonts online.

I cut the picture out of black vinyl and transfered it to the door with a plastic transfer sheet. We were both very happy with the result. If you wonder why the sign is on the inside of the door there are two reasons for that. The door is never shut during the daytime and it wouldn’t show if it was on the other side. And for some reason the outside of the door is wood colored and R2D2 wouldn’t look as good if he was made out of wood ;) .

Here is a close up picture of the decor. I love making home decor with vinyl, if you have a Cameo and haven’t tried yet you really shold! It’s not hard and the result looks great! This is my project for Hobbyworld this week.

Also, today is my birthday! I plan to celabrate it with some scrap time. I am easy to please:) My daughter has her bithday a couple of days from now and since she was born mine isn’t that important, I had a few more than her ;)

If it's crafty I have probably tried it. Or plan to try it tomorrow. I love to be creative in all ways, but I tend to gravitate to making cards, coloring and diecutting. I also have a bad yarn shopping.... ehm... KNITTING... habit. I live in Sweden with my husband, two cute minions (also known as kids) and three dogs. I work from home at a small international development company during the days, and craft while listening to audio books or follow my favourite series at nights and on weekends. I love it when I don't have to leave the house, being an introvert and socially awkward and all. That's why my slippers to shoe ratio is close to 1:1 and I'm not ashamed to admit it ;)
