Stamp your own background

Spectrum Noir Maya Isaksson color my life watermarked

I used an old tutorial by Jodi Clark from the Spectrum Noir blog as inspiration for my card today. I scribbled some Spectrum Aqua markers on a slick surface, spritzed with water and used instead of an ink pad to stamp my background. I love how the three colors I used blended and created a rainbow-colored background. I used an Andy Skinner crackled paint stamp by Stampendous that I got at a workshop, I love how it turned out stamped over and over to create a background.

The girl is a digi stamp I found on Etsy when I was in the mood to color something just for fun. I cut her out and found a perfect sentiment by Paper Smooches to go with my colorful background.

Background with Spectrum Aqua: Begonia, Teal, Gold (Stamp from Stampendous)
Girl, with Spectrum Noir markers: TN6, TN7, TN8, FS2, FS3, FS4, TN3, HB1, IB1, IB2, GG5, CR1, CR7, FS8, GB3, GB4 (stamp digi by smallandround)

(Isn't it fun when you prepare a blog post and forget to hit publish when you are done ;) This was supposed to be up yesterday but I got distracted by shiny things. In this case the inspiration to make an art journal page)

If it's crafty I have probably tried it. Or plan to try it tomorrow. I love to be creative in all ways, but I tend to gravitate to making cards and coloring. I also have a bad yarn shopping.... ehm... KNITTING... habit. I live in Sweden with my husband, two cute minions (also known as kids) and three dogs. I work from home at a small international development company during the days, and craft while listening to audio books or follow my favourite series at nights and on weekends. I love it when I don't have to leave the house, being an introvert and socially awkward and all. That's why my slippers to shoe ratio is close to 1:1 and I'm not ashamed to admit it ;)
